Week 7: Microblogging

Twitter was another tool that I’d signed up for an account, but never really used it. Definitely don’t have it integrated into my normal routine. It seems like with an iphone or a phone with unlimited texting this might have the best chance of making it a regular part of my communication. As it is, going to twitter, to view tweets, and even finding people I wanted to follow was a little bit of a struggle/effort. I can definitely see this being a good tool to keep up with people in quick, real time. And I can definitely see it as a marketing tool for disseminating pertinent info, quickly. Exploring, it took me awhile, but when I started looking at the regional conversations about libraries, and tweets in real time in my area, I was a little bit enthralled, hooked, interested in what you could happen across. Also, enjoyed exploring a little more about google buzz & choosing to opt out of that one!
